We're home and our journey is over but there's still time to sponsor us for the 7 relaxing wonders we've completed!!!  Please go to our sponsor page for an easy online way to give.

Welcome to Wonder Land!

We are Chris and Trai, 2 women with ME who are setting off on a journey with a difference.

We're taking 6 months unpaid leave from work and setting out on a round-the-world trip to raise awareness of ME/ Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and funds for biomedical research into its cause and treatment.

Having ME means we have to approach life a little differently, so although we'd have liked to go on an adrenaline-fuelled odyssey with challenges like trekking, whitewater rafting and skydiving, as many of our friends have, we will pace ourselves and instead attempt to experience 7 Relaxing Wonders of the World.

Each wonder, though restful, will bring a particular challenge for us with ME, and together they represent stages that  many people go through on their own journey from illness back to physical and emotional wellbeing.

Through this website and blog you can sponsor us, learn more about ME and keep up with our gentle progress around the world.

....and you can be sure that if you're kind enough to sponsor us ALL the money goes directly to the charity ME North East, of which Trai is patron, and not into our travel fund!

If you're feeling a bit strapped perhaps you could have a raffle for us at your next event, or come up with another fundraising idea.

We hope our travels will inspire you if you're ill or, for whatever reason, re-evaluating your life.

Thankyou for any support you can offer - good health and happy trails!
